Yeah, I think I'm going to let Blindspot drop. It's kind of exhausting to watch knowing where the writers/showrunner is going to take the show (generally, from watching other shows in the same vein with mystery and intrigue and whatnot) and fearing no real payoff for episodes and episodes ( Read more... )

I haven't checked out Blindspot, but I was going to. Still am, I think, but I'm not in any hurry really.

I really, really, really love Scorpion. It's the one show I make sure I'm home to watch which is weird to say because it's not like OMG GROUNDBREAKING TELEVISION. I just genuinely enjoy it and it makes my heart feel fuzzy so I cling to it.

I heard Minority Report was really good and all my friends LOVE Quantico. I don't know, I'm having a hard time getting excited about tv lately. Nothing really seems to grab me anymore.

I think that Quantico might be suffering slightly from trying to use the tried and true setup of following what works in a new setting, but also there's just a lot of TV out there right now? It does seem more and more that we've began to phase out of the stage of procedurals and sitcoms and a lot more into...I dunno, a more serious treatment of TV as a medium? Which you could say was a lot of breakout shows, ie Breaking Bad, but another part is just how...saturated we are.

Or maybe we were always this saturated, but now it's so much easier to access content that we've hit that point?
