I love 13 episode seasons because things don't have to drag out and I can stay engaged. It seems FOX is taking some cues from cable TV and formatting it for broadcast TV.

Totally! Won't have to deal with the stupid mid-season hiatus and then get lost halfway through and give up because of all the filler. The ACTUAL hiatus will be a bitch but I'm okay with it for tighter, better written eps!

Yes! It was the first show renewed this season! Instead of giving them the back nine they're going to bring it back for a 13 episode second season, which is awesome! This and Hostages, I believe, are both shortened seasons (by North American standards, anyway).

I'm torn about the 13-episode order, just because if there was ever a show where I wouldn't mind filler it's this one (imagine all the modern things Ichabod could struggle with! Imagine how much we'd see of his beautiful pretty face!), but I'm ecstatic about the s2 pick-up.

I've started on s1 of Bob's Burgers, it's my back-up breakfast show for when The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are on hiatus so it'll take me a while to catch up. I'm not completely sold on it but it's growing on me.
