2010 Atlantic hurricane season and Tropical Storm Karl...

Sometime back in July, I heard a couple of people comment that for a supposedly busy hurricane season, we weren't seeing much.

Skip ahead to August and September, where, since the formation of Danielle on August 22nd, we have literally not had a single day without a named storm someplace in the Atlantic basin for at least one portion of the day, ( Read more... )

I'll be glad to see Igor die, preferably out in the ocean. And his siblings.

The National Hurricane Center thinks it's unlikely that Igor will threaten the U.S. East Coast; I just hope he also misses Bermuda.

The name Igor made me giggle. I have a mental picture of a hurricane that is bits of other hurricanes all cobbled together.
