This has been a surprisingly busy and eventful week, including out of town visitors, the brief loss of a a friend's child at Disney which created a bit of drama (kid has been safely found), the hopefully not brief finding of a new obsession, blackberry wine (why oh internet did you not tell me about this before), the exciting discovery that I had

Just thought you'd like to know that your rereads inspired my choice of bedtime story for Boone recently. I'd never heard of Edith Nesbit before, but based on your rereads, I chose The Enchanted Castle to read to Boone over a very long period of time. (I only read him a few pages, every Monday and Thursday night, because DH reads stories on the other nights of the week.)

We had a great time with The Enchanted Castle. Boone was afraid of the Ugly-Wuglies. He was amused by the many ridiculous adventures and close calls experienced by the children. He was just as awe-struck by the gorgeous descriptions of bathing statues and moonlit feasts as I was. And, being a lover of Greek & Roman mythology, he was delighted to have some familiar deities included.

Thanks for introducing us to this delightful (if occasionally problematic) book!!
