This has been a surprisingly busy and eventful week, including out of town visitors, the brief loss of a a friend's child at Disney which created a bit of drama (kid has been safely found), the hopefully not brief finding of a new obsession, blackberry wine (why oh internet did you not tell me about this before), the exciting discovery that I had

I'm really bummed about not going. At first, I couldn't go because it's my daughter's 21st birthday on the fourth, but she decided to spend it in Arizon with her boyfriend. I also was supposed to do Viable Paradise (slave labor) at the beginning of October, and couldn't justify another writing-related trip, but family matters kept me from the Vineyard. Now, the daughter's going to be away, the son is doing great, and I could have probably gotten up to Toronto without a hitch. But now the con is sold out, and last minute like this? Yeah--not happening.

Grumble. Well, I am hereby announcing that we shall share sparklies at another con.

Cannot wait for WFC! The husband and I are showing up sometime on Thursday.

I mostly try to arrive early because I need some time to rest beforehand and to my horror I found that some things actually get started Wednesday night, largely because of the people who show up on Wednesday hoping to rest beforehand. So, stretching the trip a bit.
