Writing and food. I think I have the important things in life covered.

Whee, I've passed 10,000 words on my Iron Man Noir fic! Actually, I've passed 10,500, and am hoping to get to at least 12K before the weekend's over. It seems to me you could put what's left in little snack bags or an ice cube tray and freeze them, then just take out whatever you need each time. I have never used chipotles in a can, I just throw in the dried ones when I use them, so I don't know if this would work, but it ought to.

Freezing would probably be very sensible, except I have this thing where I stick things in the freezer and then forget about them for years at a time. :-p I'm kind of hoping to just use up the chipotles before they go bad.

I also have about half a can of leftover chipotles in adobo sitting in the fridge. I only ever use them for chili or stew, and it only takes a little to flavor a batch, so I always end up throwing out a lot of leftover chipotles. Anyone know what else can be done with them?

You could run them through a food processor and mix them with a bit of tomato sauce and chili powder and a spoonful of brown sugar and a dash of vinegar to make barbecue sauce, and then slow-cook beef short ribs in it.

It's what I usually do, anyway.
