Today had it's ups and downs. I did not so well on my first HESI exam. But, apparently I am not the only one of us that didn't do well. Oh well, no biggie. I have done REALLY well in the rest of the course, and I didn't study as much as I should have at Estrella. I'll just prepare more for the next one, and now I know what to expect ( Read more... ) -

I am almost done with the project of doom. Her's is almost complete. Alyssa/Monkey was absolutely wonderful and has been helping me out. She marked out the spots for all the bezants on Her's and has started putting them on. I have been finishing up the chain on His. It's official!
I gave my first injection tonight! -
As the garments turn....
I will be sooooooo happy to finally have these things done. All the appliques are stitched down. The laurel wreath is almost all done on the hem of Her's. I have a little bit to go on the laurel wreath. I still have to do the embroidery and bead work on the roses. The chain on his is marked on the fabric, and it shouldn't take too long to couch ( Read more... ) -
Woohoo!
So I managed to write up my Health Promotion Paper last week, including finding sources, in a total of two hours. It was only a 3 page paper, but I was pretty happy with doing it that quickly.
I just got my grade of 30/30 :) I love school. -
Pearls, sewing, and other nonsense
So the project of doom still consumes me, and probably will for another week or two. I have all the appliques done and the backing on. So they are ready to be ironed on and then sewn down. From that point I still have to put the chain applique on His, and the Laurel wreath + roses on Hers. Then the powdering of their prospective bezants ( Read more... ) -

Spent the weekend dealing with the wedding crap and didn't get to study for my exam today at all. Now mind you this exam was mostly covering material we learned before our month and a half long break. I was totally exhausted as well. My instructor was lecturing this morning and I couldn't compute what she was saying. It was like she was talking ( Read more... ) -
Done!
Thank whatever gods control art! I am done with the appliques. There are eight total. Three will go on His Majesties' Norman, and five will go on Her Majesties' Cotehardie. It's all downhill from here. I still have alot of work to do, but the hardest part is over :)
