Feb 03, 2007 21:11

For La_Xhal, with the dearest love possible. I probably should have put this up far, far, far before February came rolling around with all it's demands... but this piece just kept growing and growing and growing, until it became what it is today. But in any case, I do hope you enjoy it, Liz. &hearts And feel free to read this as a logical extension of theRead more... )

This is the polar opposite of my Erlkonig.

I love it anyway.

I think that says something about whether it "worked" or not.

::smiles::

As ever, you have Penelo down, and I don't think you need to worry about Larsa either. Well done!

This is the polar opposite of my Erlkonig.

OH SNAP, until you wrote that, I didn't even realize it! But now I can definitely see it-- this is like the anti-matter to Erkonig's matter. I guess if the two ever mix, we should beware massive, brain-breaking explosions. XD

And of course, you just know that means I'm going to have to get started on the polar opposite of Trim-- the Emperor of Archades gets married! but this time with more drunken toasts and good times-- right? ;)

And I'm v. v. happy to hear that you think I have Penelo and Larsa down pretty well! Penelo I can count on, she's my girl, but Larsa... sweet Jesus but that bastard's hard to write sometimes, if only because there are so many ways to interpret what he'd see as "doing good"-- not all of them benign...

You, you, you are made of a special kind of win. This fic is made of a special kind of win. THERE IS SO MUCH WIN HERE I CAN'T TAKE IT OMG *glomps you*

I LOOOOOVED this. SO much. Like, words cannot express. In particular I really loved how you de-stuified Larsa by not calling him handsome, and also when you talked about the 40 years later and and and omg I can't even form coherant sentences I'm still in shock ♥ And it was happy! And it was funny! (she snowballed him, homg) And it's so perfect and afialfhjilkjglkla

You do realise I REALLY owe you now, yes? :P

::makes a quiet sound of glee:: See, now I'm REALLY glad I didn't go with my first instict and kill Penelo right off the bat when she's all young and it'd be even more tragic-like. If it makes you smile, then I'm please!

And of course, you CANNOT have a fic take place in snow without having an impromptu snowball fight occur at some point! Penelo's just lucky Larsa's too much a gentleman to hit back, for real.

And no, there is no owage within gifts! ;)

It does make me smile! :D And while your fic would be wonderful even if you did kill her early, methinks I prefer this ending XD

Ah, you are being silly, dear! I insist ♥

This is just great. I love the whole "We'll take on the world to be able to be together" thing. It's shiny. ^_^

And that's great to hear! I tend, on the whole, to be terribly fond of shiny things. XD

And yeah, team-work is one of my kinks so I pretty much had to show Larsa and Penelo working together-- even though Larsa's natural inclination would be, as Penelo knows, to just shoulder all the burden himself. Luckily, I don't think Penelo's the sort to let him get away with that!

This was so lovely.
Sometimes one can worry about stories of this nature coming across as too saccharine but this had a perfect blend. I would love to read more stories about this pair.

Oh, thank you so much for the feedback! I was really quite afraid that it was tilting too much towards the saccharine side of things-- which is why I kept inserting bad jokes about Larsa's wardrobe willy nilly all over the place-- but I'm glad the balance of sentimentality-to-humor worked for you. ;)
