Weekend Overload

Too much weekend. Friday night I went to my not-brother's 'exit interview' party, on top of the giant green pickle that is University Tower in Durham. Fun party fact, should you ever find yourself up there - the tower was in fact designed by an architect named Durwood Pickle. Really

Wait - it really is a 'Pickle' building? dude! We've always called it the big pickle!

Does Nate know how to swim, I mean without floaties? Mom sent me to swimming lessons when I was little because when I was 2 I fell into a hotel swimming pool and almost drowned. (she didn't want me to be afraid of water).

I admit, I was doubtful, but I've now heard it from two completely independent sources, neither of which even knew about the other. So yeah, for lack of other input, I'll believe it really IS a 'Pickle' building.

Nate & swimming - he is actually fairly comfortable in the water, but won't even swim with floaties. He'll kick and so on while we drag him around, but he's not quite there on the swimming part.
Some of it is that we've been negligent in the swimming lessons - he's had one set, but we didn't keep it up. Some of it is that he's only tried the floaties once, and doesn't quite trust them, and the rest of it is that it tends to be 6 months between swim times. So we should will change that and go over to this friend's apartment more often.
