It’s June, how did that happen!? It came as a surprise, May seemed like it would be around forever, then suddenly it vanished and here we are, half the year gone already. And I feel like I’ve been standing still for most of it*sigh*

Beats me every time...

Such awesome plants! That first photo has layers of color! :) And so many colorful birds! Especially the lorikeets make such stunning contrast with the ground. The curious one is so cute!

These are wattle birds
Huh, at first I thought it must be Australian for starling, but Wiki says it's another sort of birds entirely. Those on your photos still look like starlings to me, though? *puzzled*

Stay well!

The colours on that particular tree get me every autumn, it’s a street tree that I pass every time I take the dog for her walk and it’s the same brilliant display every year. The lorikeets are really lovely, but very noisy*g*

I’ve always identified those birds as little wattlebirds https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/species/Anthochaera-chrysoptera - but looking up the common starling (an introduced species) they are certainly very similar so I could well be misidentifying. I’ll try taking more photos!

Stay well!

You too!

Sorry for the late reply. ..I'm playing catch-up, as usual. :)

Lovely to see you have an abundance of beautiful plant and bird life, at the moment. There's nothing like a walk to provide distraction from worldly troubles, right now.

I hope you get to see the grandchildren soon.

Playing catch up seems to be my default position lately too! The walks are what have been my mainstay through the last few months, nature has a way of easing the mind;)

The recent announcement of borders opening has got us making plans so, if all goes well, we could be seeing the grand-brood at the end of July, fingers crossed. Hope all is well with you and yours and you're keeping safe.
