More on Iran

One of the students who works with us is a foreign national from Iran, and he was kind enough to spend some time explaining his take on things. He's of the opinion that several people at the top are corrupt and that they're trying to bandaid the system. Why wait until after you're done with classes? It's really easy to take action online with Amnesty International: http://www.amnestyusa.org/take-action-online/page.do?id=1031043 Once you fill out the form once, you can then just enter your email address. It takes no more than a few minutes.

about doing what we can. I write for a Democratic Party web site at BellaOnline.com (just go there and click on News and Politics, then on Democratic Party). I've been looking for someone from Iran to interview. If your student friend would be willing to talk with me on the phone, he can reach me at sgaissert@verizon.net.

I too am thinking about the Iranians all the time. Their strength is amazing to me. I know we've heard about the strength of people throughout history, but, thanks to the technology, this is the most "close-up" look we've ever had at a situation such as this, and I agree that we must do more than just passively look at it.
