So it seems that 2009 is "The Year of the ARC" around here. Two of the books that I was most eager to have in my grubby little hands (which both are set to release on the same day, March 24th 2009, my husband's birthday) I managed to swing ARCs of in contests held by their authors. What's Evernight about? Is it like the Vampire Academy series?

I just CANNOT see this about this author's writing! Clearly there are fine points where our taste differs, because while we like the same genres of books and such, we have a lot of different opinions about writing and style!

I had read your City of Glass review (you have got me so pumped for that one) and now this one! I think you are the luckiest woman on the planet to win both these ARCs, lol! Thanks for the reviews, have been looking forward to both of these for a long time.

So this ends on a cliffhanger I presume? Ugh, not sure how I feel about that, I am starting to think that it cheats the reader in a way. I know they want to keep readers coming back for more, but I think closure is a good thing, or at least something that makes the long wait more bearable.

I am not a fan of the super-secret embargo thing, but I fear as these books become more popular that will start to happen here.
