I played at the local NERO event this weekend so was unable to attend Endgame. Our's was a three day extended event. We also had a bad rash of injuries. When the time came for the final mod on Sunday night, which was the culminating scene in a 5+ year long plot arc, the NPC squad which had numbered up to around 20 people at times was down to around 10.
Several people were just too exhausted to fight. The chapter owner was out with an eye injury. Five minutes into the fight another NPC went down to an eye injury. Shortly after that an NPC shattered his sword core which effectively took him out of the fight. Towards the end one of the NPC's collapsed on the field from over heating and just plain exhaustion.
Luckily, the mod was still an outstanding success, even though the combat portion of it was a bit cheapened by the depleted NPC ranks. But the main payoff of the mod was the roleplay at the end, so it was still all good.

Hey, if you ever need somewhere to stay during your drive in either direction, please let me know. Our current place is a scant 30 minutes from Brantwood, and we could put you in your own place to come and go as you please for free.
Ah, the joys of being in charge of a "guest suite" on campus. :o)
Heck, if you would like to spend some time with our history department, we could probably get you some form of Professional Development here so you could take two days to drive...

I may take you up on that, but it's unlikely. bitsyboo, who doesn't play Endgame, really likes me to try and make it home on Sunday. However she equally does not want me to crash on the road from sleep dep!

At the worst, consider us a stop gap for the "Oh my god I can't make it home!" moment.
At the best, if you get a Prof. Development Day and would like to drive a bit before the game, let me know and we'll see if we can put that PD Day to good use.
