1.) The jacket was NOT a continuity error. The Doctor left, he says, "Amy, later" then he comes from like the complete other side of Amy. or it feels like it...he walked off on Amy's right, then appears in front of her, but it doesn't feel like he retraced his steps. he came from somewhere else.
