I tend to agree with these. *nods fiercely* Love your choice of screenshots, too--I was just saying to versaphile how those power shifts in their relationship are always such character porn moments and so essential to them (we are writing a major kinky power shift scene in Persia at the moment). That whole fucking scene in Utopia was just so, so kinky and basically had them in a nutshell, so it was a pretty good way of re-introducing the Master to the new viewers.
Let's be honest, it was probably the "sharing a prison cell" bit in Frontier in Space.
2. What I think their challenge is:
Um. Lots. But the evil, hypnotic, murdering side has got be the weak part of that triangle. To say the least.
3. What makes me happy about them:
That Jo has moments when she can pwn BOTH the Doctor and the Master.
4. What makes me sad about them:
That we were denied more stories with them. :(
5. What moment I wish had never happened.
Uh, dunno. Pass.
6. Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
Welsh hippies. In fact, I change my answer for the Doctor and the Master from my other comment - they can have Welsh hippies as well.
7. My happily ever after for them:
Uh, the Doctor and the Master actually do run off together in Claws of Axos, then the Doctor goes back and picks up Jo and they have adventures in time and space, with lots of bickering between the Doctor and the Master and knowing smiles from Jo.
Confession tiem! I saw vandonovan's Sexy Back vid before I ever saw a single Two serial -- in fact, it was what convinced me to start watching the Two era (and there's a secret to this effect buried somewhere far, far back in the early posts at who_secrets...) So, yes, I have that vid to thank for introducing me to Two/Jamie as well.

Besides the Time Lords getting in the way? Probably the actual initiating of anything between them -- I can't see the Doctor taking the initiative to start something, and Jamie's got, you know, sort of his cultural background and stuff to overcome.
3. What makes me happy about them:
All the clinging. :D
4. What makes me sad about them:
The War Games :(
5. What moment I wish had never happened:
I could just say see above, I suppose. But I do love The War Games, sad as it is, it's still one of my all time favourite serials, so I suppose I still wouldn't trade it.
