Well, I've had my recommended booster dose of the US, which should easily last me another two years, and I'm home again! First thing I did was sleep for a solid 15 hours straight, despite the fact that the trip back took less than half the time of the trip over. The BBC's 1966 ten part serialization, yep. I have no idea how this managed to avoid burnination, but it did. I've only watched the first ep so far, but BLESSED!Porthos is so far exactly what you would expect.

Not gonna lie: I am, of course, mainly in it for Jeremy Brett-as-D'Artagnan.

Have just watched the first episode. BRAYSHAW SWISHING ALL AROUND, OMG.

Best moment so far, though: D'Artagnan watches the Musketeers at fencing practice.

YES! That's what I thought at that scene, too. He's basically fapping inside at all these gorgeous men bein' manly and athletic. I also love how Brayshaw's Rochefort is coded as gay and he's all swishy and falls on his arse when d'Artagnan squeaks at him and waves a sword at him.

SO JEALOUS. considered getting that some time last year, and decided against it because it didn't play on my dvd player/computer. and then clearly forgot about it, but now i am reminded and JEALOUS.

You know what, though? I think it's region free. My computer didn't prompt me to change regions when I put it in, AND, I just tested it in my definitely Region 2 DVD Player, and it works. So, there you go!
