Wait, what is your ship? Morgana/Uther or Morgana/Arthur? Obviously Morgana/Uther is just more wrong, but both fit the description :D
If Morgause and Morgana do not share a mother (and how do I love that in this show, every single Arthurian evil witch is a separate person, rather than all being the same, now we have a Vivian, too!) then Gorlois was adulterous as well, but if they share a mother, then Vivian was a serial adulteress. Either way, Uther/Vivian is not that shocking.
It was Morgana/Uther. (Weirdly, Morgana/Arthur has always been one of the very, very few pairings on that show that I don't ship. But Morgana/Uther and Morgana/Morgause? YEP.)
I vote for Gorlois also being adulterous - fairer all around. And conveniently makes at least Morgana/Morgause less wrong.
(I don't know why, but I've had it in my head that Morgana is older than Arthur? Uther/Vivian going on while Ygraine was still alive would put things in an interesting light...)
Actually, I'd find it weirder if Uther had slept with Vivian soon after Ygraine's death than if he had cheated on her while she lived. And I always felt that Morgana was older than Arthur, too (by several years even!)
I was MOST GREIEVED at the lack of shirtless Bradley James! It was my BIRTHDAY PARTY, I was looking forward to that! *mourns such a cruel failure*
I vaguely assume they are still sisters through Morgana's mother, although we actually have no idea (I want to know why Uther wanted Morgause dead when she was a baby, I am MOST PUZZLED now) Although it's very possible Morgause wouldn't want Morgana to know if they weren't actually sisters - Morgana might not be so helpful without the blood connection. *ponders*
