spanokopita with mazoh instead of filo (it's dairy, has feta cheese in it)

we grew up with apricot jam on the mazoh brei.

I never ate it until recently and Avi and his family put maple syrup or chocolate syrup on, which kind of grosses me out. I guess my brain thinks of it as a non-sweet dish.

You...put toppings on it?

Sour cream. Sour cream all the way, buddy. Otherwise my MIL's matzah brei is too dry to swallow.

I've only ever had my mother's/aunt's/grandmother's, and we never put anything on it. Wild.

I've had it but I don't know how to make it - also peanut butter. I had it with peanut butter. IT WAS AMAZING.

Oh, it's easy to make: crumbled matzah in egg, maybe a little milk to bulk it up, salt, pepper, and cook it like scrambled eggs.

I'm not a peanut butter fan, though.

As I said, Matzah Pizza. Good quality tomato sauce, good cheese, one broiler and you can have a yummy lunch. Or dinner. Or snack.

Growing up in Texas, we also did salsa and cheddar cheese and did Matzah Nachos. It sounds gross, but it was good.

I'd generally vote for sour creme, but I'm also kind of addicted to maple sirup...

Though Cinnamon/Nutmeg sounds delicious as well. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth? XD

You could always serve different toppings for each course of a meal! The sweet stuff is probably better suited to desert! And sour creme as a starter, maybe? ;)

My brain considers it a main course, not a dessert, so it can't handle the sweet topping idea!
