It's Elvis! This was very random, I don't recall having previously seen Elvis on the corner near Powell's, but maybe he was advertising for the newly reopened 24 Hour Church of Elvis?



This metal box is actually secured to the newspaper stand under it, and has a velcro strap holding it closed. I think it's a cool idea to share books this way, but I don't know that anyone would really want my copy of The NPR Curious Listener's Guide to Popular Standards.



An interesting and cheap advertising gimmick at the Red Light clothing store.



I don't think that's the kind of thing one should ever admit, no matter how drunk one was at the time.
