Pictures of Portland, Part 1

May 14, 2008 19:58

I took a massive amount of Portland-related photos last week for clearbell. I ended up with a boatload of photos, so I'm going to slice and dice them into several different posts.

Part 2 - I Invented the Night
Part 3 - Exterior Decorating
Part 4 - The Book Carts of St. Powell's
Part 5 - The Shelves Have Eyes

It's like a giant Tetris game waiting to happen. The asymmetry bothers me, though - it makes my OCD twitch with wanting to nudge the bricks and windows on the right side over a little until the left side is equal.

Curlicue rusty railings.

It's like playing Simon. (I'm just full of retro game geekiness today, apparently.)

A nifty entryway.

The Fish Grotto. Need I say more?

Downtown Max stop. Wave "Hello" to the security camera.

I saw this green Meat Tube sticker near the Rose Quarter Transit Center. There are white ones. Orange ones, too. Not to mention this poster-sized one.

The view of Waterfront Park from the Steel Bridge.

The Steel Bridge, taken from the park.

Three street views, with trees in abundance. One of my favorite things about Portland is all the trees.
