Well the AUD was very strong against the Yen about 3 - 4 months back....who would have thought that this recent crap of the US markets heading downwards would happen?? Now each day the exchange rates would be more volatile as ever ( Read more... )

S$1.2 to AUD1 instead of S$1.3!

The Japanese coins are very confusin...but SUPER useful when buying drinks from the vending machines or from convenience stores like Family Mart.

So remember to keep all the change you get. :)

Thanks for the advice...suppose money changers wont keep much of the coins of the foreign currency....will have to sort the coins out at the hotel room.....haha...I got coins from HK/SG & Aust...it will take me some time to get used to SG currency too..heheh...I once gave HK coins in SG before..

mabbe u can change more when u r in sg.. our rates are still pretty alrite here..

Now with the AUD being weak...it's still a little stronger than the SGD...but difference is not that great anymore...:(...spending power heavily decreased.....even using the CC wont be that competitive anymore...
