Currency Exchange
Well the AUD was very strong against the Yen about 3 - 4 months back....who would have thought that this recent crap of the US markets heading downwards would happen?? Now each day the exchange rates would be more volatile as ever....
But since we are travelling...have to get some Yen...will change AUD to SGD when I get back.....
Well we went to an Indian money changer but this was under a company that had many foreign currency exchange offices around Australia.....didnt feel like going to the bank coz rates would be even more crappy....so the final rate that we got was 100 AUD to about 790 Yen.....of coz it was bad compared when the market was good which was 100 AUD to about 102 Yen....so now every 100 AUD we lose about 20 AUD....sigh.....what to do?...the guy said it was the best rate so far...there was no commission or service charges...so it wasnt too bad...well we have to change anyway.....oh well it's all done....getting ready to go for our long awaited trip....
Well we havent been to Japan before so seeing the Yen for the first time was good....hehehe.....well when we are there...will get in touch with the rest of the Yen denomination & coins...for those who havent seen the Yen too...here's a photo...
