But they don't neccessarily cause inflation. If anything, they cause deflation. 10% scrolls are worth far less, while 60% become worth a little more.
And there are lots of cursed scrolls that are worth nothing because they're simply not worth using. A great example are 70% Dagger. You can't barely give them away. While a 60% Dagger is huge. I can buy 70% Dagger scrolls for 100k (which is the standard bottom-end price for a cursed scroll unless it's Cape MP), while a 60% Dagger would be 1mil if I was lucky.
However, 10% Dagger are even less, while 30% Dagger can be far more than a 60%.
The prices generally reflect the scrolling strategy.
But I doubt you're getting them. It's probably just MSEA.
i hate that "50%" figure because it scares people to death. "OMG 50% CHANCE MY ITEM WILL DISAPPEAR!" when, in reality, you can break down the odds like this:
70% cursed scrolls 70% chance of scrolling success 15% chance of scrolling failure with item still intact 15% chance of scrolling failure with item destroyed
30% cursed scrolls 30% chance of scrolling success 35% chance of scrolling failure with item still intact 35% chance of scrolling failure with item destroyed
70% chance of success, then a 50% chance of it being destroyed. It's not 70/30, it's 70, then stop.
Then it's 50-50.
I can personally attest to the fact that 70% scrolls kill my stuff FAR more often than 15% of the time. In my experience, 70% scrolls work about half of the time, and when they don't work they usually destroy my item. I RARELY every have a 70 fail and then do nothing.
It might seem that it's 70/15/15, but it doesn't work out like that in RL. It isn't scary, but it's because you take it as an accepted risk. I don't go "AW MAN I CAN'T BELIEVE I KILLED IT"...I sorta laugh at it, but I laugh when I succeed as well.
means that 15% of the time your item will be destroyed, just like he said :P
and you shouldnt say that just because your 70% work about half the time that you have a large enough or accurate enough sample to really have an accurate picture
and why would they put something different in the description?

doesn't seem so scary to me. :D
