It was a slow wake up this morning. I was not sure what I wanted to do today. It was a toss-up between Rockefeller Center and Museum of Natural History. I think I just wanted to be outside and enjoy the nice weather before I head home to Toronto and the cacophony of people and things I need to do.

in general, i find chain-restaurant food in the city to be painfully overpriced and disappointing. it's better to stick with little diners and restaurants, most of the time they end up around the same price or cheaper, and the food is 10 times more likely to be edible. i think the chains can get away with it here because of the tourism, they don't need to build up a base or anything...

I agree... I would have preferred to go to somewhere smaller but after walking around for a little while, I just wanted to eat. But I did learn my lesson. Part of the problem is since I am a visitor to NYC, I really don't know where to eat especially when I wander away from the area I know.

I usually like to keep my eyes open for a Thai or Indian restaurant.
