Saturdazed

It was a slow wake up this morning. I was not sure what I wanted to do today. It was a toss-up between Rockefeller Center and Museum of Natural History. I think I just wanted to be outside and enjoy the nice weather before I head home to Toronto and the cacophony of people and things I need to do.

Walked around Time Square again. I like the place. I mean I don't think I could cope with it every day. But it is a nice change to see the bustle and hustle of shoppers going crazy. Stopped into various Gift shops and saw some really COOL figurines ranging from Simpson's to comic Characters.

Some stupid kid nearly ran onto the incoming traffic. How dumb could the kid be? Here is is, not even on the sidewalk and he decides to dodge his little sister's swing by running onto the Street. Dumb.

Couldn't decide on what to have for lunch but ended up in an Applebees. I ordered a Fish and Chips meal. What I got was a few fish sticks and fries... I was wondering- "What the hell is this? When I order Fish and chips, it's usually one or two pieces of fish that is battered."Its usually a fair sized piece of fish. But this was tiny slivers of yuckiness!

I asked for the manager. I told him that, this was not what I was expecting. He said, "were you expecting more fries or fish?" I told him, "that for the price they are charging that it was a not fair. The dish I was served looked more like an appetizer!" Needless to say, I got it for 1/2 price. Which was a nice gesture BUT I am miffed that people would actually settle for a high price and not even adequate food.

This was NOT a Japanese restaurant! What happened to the traditional over sized American portions? Good to know they have shrunk but in this case it was bland too.

So now my dilemma remains... Do I carry on my complaint to Applebee's head office? Or should I be satisfied with the result? Hmmmmm????
