National Treasure

FILM

Went to see National Treasure..

Nicolas Cage Elvis's his way through the role. When did he stop acting and begin to do only Elvis impersonations? It is not a good thing!

Cute premise and fills that "Da Vinci Code" niche but not as well. Don't get me started on Dan Brown and the Da Vinci Code. Was it exciting? Yes! Was it well written? NO! A thousand times NO! In fact all his books are so poorly written it can make one almost gag. If you don't believe me.... go to a bookstore and read the first chapter of Digital Fortress. See what a TERRIBLE writer he truly is!!!

But back to 'National Treasure'. The sidekick was annoying as was the love interest. The bad guys led by Sean Bean of Lord Of The Rings fame was good and much more charismatic than "Elvis" Cage.

If you want to see a good movie with an Elvis impersonator then rent "Bubba Ho Tep" with Bruce Campbell. It is a cult movie and it is very good. If you want to see something that involves secret societies etc. then try an episode of NOVA or the History Channel.

'National Treasure' is a rental.. and not YOUR rental. It should only be viewed when a friend rents its and invites you over to view it alone with another good movie. Do not, by any means let this video into your house. Like the Ouija board, evil emanations may linger thus throwing your dinner parties in chaos.

FOOD
Cooked a good curry and chicken with spinach last night for a little dinner get together. It was delicious and I met some very kool Art Therapy people who proceeded to talk about dogs and menopause. Thankfully not about dogs suffering from menopause...

Food was delicious and company was excellent.
