This week, I learned that:
* If I can tell that I am feverish I should take my temperature sooner rather than later
* Ibuprofen is scarily effective at reducing one's temperature
* Waiting until the day before a problem set is due to start it doesn't work well if you're sick the day before it's due and the day it's due.

I"m glad you're feeling better! I had that same problem last year and never even really knew i had a temperature. Thermometers are good things and now I own one of my very own. Good luck with the work!

An epistemic point:

You claim:
"Additionally, since taking a single ibuprofen had caused a 6 degree drop"

POST HOC ERGO PROPTER HOC. Fallacious your reasoning is! Correct you net Yoda will!

But I'm glad you're feeling well :) Next time you are deathly ill you should read some Hume.

I never asserted that more ibuprofen WOULD cause my temperature to drop to an unhealthfully low level, just that I was afraid of the possibility. More importantly, I didn't want to suppress an immune response without dealing with the infection that it was presumably trying to affect.

But...Who are you?

Oh, right, and who in the world would read Hume while dealthy ill? Intentionally screwing with one's sense of reality while highly feverish seems like a bad plan. Hume would be almost as bad as watching Yellow Submarine...
