Kirihara felt a confident grin plant itself firmly on his face as he crushed the fifth guy he'd played. He was having fun winning, but he wanted a challenge...

"Hey, I'll play Australian Doubles," Kirihara called, arching a brow at the growing crowd, waiting for a doubles pair to come forward and play him.

"What? Too scared?" Kirihara taunted, waiting impatiently, then finally two boys strode forward with matching determined glares and Kirihara walked back to the baseline and got ready to play.

Jackal watched Kirihara in amusement. The kid was on fire today. Jackal didn't know for how much longer Kirihara would get to play though. He seemed to have worn out the pool of players surrounding the court. But new guys could show up at any time and some of the regulars to the courts seemed to be trying to find a second wind.

Jackal checked his wallet. Kirihara would probably be hungry by the time he quit. Jackal may have to buy his dinner.

Kirihara growled in annoyance when no one came up to play him, so he stormed over to Jackal just in time to hear the older boy's cellphone ring.

Jiroh nibbled on his lip as he dialed Jackal-kun's number. He'd just left Keigo's house and decided his captain was right, he should try to get Kiri-kun and Jackal-kun to put in a good word for him with Bunta.

"Hi, Jackal-kun? It's Jiroh. You busy?"
