Today, my cousin asked me to consider singing at her wedding in November (just during the ceremony) and I told her I would see if I could sing whatever songs she chose. She's getting married in a catholic church, so she's limited to the secular music the priest approves of, and it's literally been at least a decade since I sang anything secular. ( Read more... )

Wow, that's really great! I have the same problem with secular singing, actually. I mean, I can fake it, you know, but invariably someone always says "Um, why are you singing 'Under the Boardwalk' as if it's an aria?" Oh, sorry, you know, habit... *blushes*

Good luck, and let us know what you end up singing! (Though I must confess, I don't know any of the singers you mentioned in your reply to teka, so if it's something like that, I probably wont know it...!)
