Today, my cousin asked me to consider singing at her wedding in November (just during the ceremony) and I told her I would see if I could sing whatever songs she chose. She's getting married in a catholic church, so she's limited to the secular music the priest approves of, and it's literally been at least a decade since I sang anything secular. ( Read more... )

Yeah, glad this one is over, though it didn't end as badly as it began, so that's a good thing.

The nonsense at work has finally gone away. Needless to say, it was ugly. However, it wasn't as bad as it could have been, and it's all pretty much blown over now. I'll go into more detali in a f-locked post.

25 today, not that I feel much different, nor did the day go any differently than any other day of the week. Birthdays just aren't a big deal after awhile, you know? But yeah, happy birthday to me. Made it there and back safely. We left early Wednesday morning and got in this afternoon. The services were lovely, as lovely as they could be, really, given they involved death. Funerals are always upsetting, but they tend to bring people together who've not seen each other in years--sometimes decades--and that was the wonderful part of all ( Read more... )
