Is anybody willing to offer beta services for Bleach fic? Most of my stuff is short, between 400-1500 words. Alternatively, does anybody know of any comms for securing Bleach-reading betas ( Read more... )

I am! I like your fic. Actually, I skipped over to your journal to see if I could dig up anything you've written I haven't read yet. I don't know how well I'd do as a beta (what specific qualities are you looking for?) but honestly, I'd love to help you out.

My AIM is Acrid Rag Doll, but I've got MSN too if you'd prefer.

Thank you so much for the offer! It would be great to have someone to do a read through to tell me whether or not things are clear, funny (in the places it's meant to be funny), in character, etc. Would also love it if you pointed out any sentences or passages that might be confusing.

I should have my draft ready by midweek. I'll send it to you then and if you have the time (if you don't, it's totally cool) I would be grateful for any feedback you give me.

Thanks! :)

That's gorgeous - I love how you show the impact of those re-examined memories. It also makes a lot of sense why Rangiku might not have thought (or have been willing to think) of certain things in a darker context until now.

I'd be up for beta reading, but it might be Wednesday before I could take a look at anything. The email addy in my profile should work.

Thank you for the kind words and for your generous offer. (Btw, your own fic "Familiar Faces" is one of my favorites.)

It will take me until Wednesday, I think, to have the draft ready. I'll send it then. No rush and any help you might give would be appreciated.

Thanks again!

I like that a great deal. It's the way you describe the slow emerging of possible evidence, and the way her viewpoint slowly shifts.

. . . I also hope it's not the other reason why she's throwing up in the morning.
