stay at rest
going nowhere
at the speed of halt
the insistent rain
trying in vain
to wash away
the amassed vehicular detritus
the windshield wipers applauding
the performance of
a choir of brake lights
singing in morse code -

not everything is purple
some things sound like
rabbits giggling
in a fresh snow
smell like dandelion milk
and taste like moonbeams
tickling a dark forest
some things feel like velvet
rubbed the wrong way
or hedgehogs
playing twister
not everything is purple
some things can only
pretend

Pooh still has it right. Or write. Either way. I keep trying to go where things can find me, but sometimes they don't. And if they don't, no amount of forcing it on my part works. I wouldn't exactly call the phenomenon "writer's block" because I can generally "be found" within a day or two at most; it's not as though I go a week or two without ( Read more... ) -

Well, it's been almost eleven years, so I thought I might write something here before someone assumes I'm dead. Of course, in TV and Movie land, there's no such thing as dead any more.
