Set up an old computer as a web server/router/firewall. Since it's not just a stripped down wireless card like a store-bought router is, I can have much more control over how it behaves

Tee hee hee; my router lets me serve unrecognized MACs a specific page, but it's not a remote page--I have to actually upload it into the router. It'll let me make one up to 1MB, though, so I could make a really, really cruel page.

For instance, a Google Clone that serves them a page of insulting results.

I will have to let Scott know of the hijinks that can be had. He's in networking classes at Clark State right now but of course they won't tell him about fun stuff like this.
