Set up an old computer as a web server/router/firewall. Since it's not just a stripped down wireless card like a store-bought router is, I can have much more control over how it behaves.
The wireless itself is unsecured, anyone can connect to it, but if you're not on a list of known computers, you get added to the 192.168.0.0 block, instead of the 192.168.10.0.
Any web requests from a 192.168.0.0 address is automatically redirected to icanhascheeseburger.com. No matter what.
LOLcats. All day. Every day.
You want Google? Have a cat instead.
Hotmail? Cat.
Facebook? I CAN HAS FREE WIFI!
On a less asinine note, it filters out ads automatically.
