For sure one of my favorite novels- interesting point about the hair color. To be honest, even reading the book and knowing Wilde wrote him with blonde hair, I always picture him as a brunette!!
I'm super thrilled because I love both Ben Barnes and Colin Firth!
I guess it's something to do with the whole evilness factor. I mean, after all - whenever there is an evil twin in a movie/TV show, they are brunette to the main character's blond. ;)
And ditto on Barnes and Firth. Darcy and Caspian doing Wilde. Whee!
I was surprised he is brunette in this one, too. I believe there's a 70's film where they did get someone that was blond. Not terribly light, but blond.
Still, as you said, Ben looks the part. I mean damn, he looks good in that poster. ;-)
Well, at least there's one adaptation in which the producers read the book, eh? Hehe.
Ben Barnes is so pretty, and, aside from the dark hair, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better Dorian Gray. He's got this great combination of innocence and wickedness about him.
You've never heard of The Picture of Dorian Gray???
*flabbergasted*
A MUST READ, my friend. It's full of murder, whores, abandonment, opium addiction, supernatural artwork, and thinly veiled homosexuality. You'll love it! :D
