Q1 What is your personal sign of summer?
I like air conditioning, so a room with air conditioning, ahh, it means that I'll find it cool and staying in there would be good. Speaking of that, people tend to say that it's not good for your health, but being under the ultraviolet rays from the sun for a long time is very unhealthy. In that case, staying (indoors) all the time as I've been doing is better for health. Thankfully, I don't catch colds. （笑）
Q2 Things that "firmly seized hold of your heart?"
In F1, the moments that Ross Brawn really gets into his strategies are like "That's it!", and my heart is seized. Also, last year, McLaren (designed a car in which) the front suspension is directly attached to the monocoque. [possibly referring to this model...] That too seized hold of my heart a little. Q3 Words that touched you?
In the past, Suzuki Aguri-san made it onto the 3rd place of the winner's podium at the Suzuka Grand Prix. At that time, Nakajima Satoru-san said, "(You/He) got there before I did" with a smile. That makes me feel touched. His exact state of mind was known only to himself, but I thought that the way he voiced it with a smile was manly.
Q4 Instances that get you in a romantic mood?
Things like watching a program on aerodynamics in CS digital broadcasting. I'll think, 'This is romance'. （笑） It's really very romantic to me. （笑） That's because I'm thinking about the ways that the air up in the atmosphere is being used to go fast (in aircraft, etc.) and such. Isn't that romance? More so than being alone with a girl, it's completely romantic. （笑）
Q5 What do you consider 'an oasis'?
No matter which way I put it, it's simply being in my own home.
Q6 If you were to become a traveler, where would you go?
I want to visit Silverstone. It's the place where the F1 Grand Prix has its beginnings. Yes, Silverstone was the first to host (the Grand Prix). In terms of the course, it's a high speed one, and I think I'd enjoy myself somewhat. For places like Monaco, I don't find them fun in terms of the races, but it would be good to go there once. Just for the atmosphere.
Q7 Something that you have to have with you all the time?
I'm someone who doesn't take things with me even when I go out. Ahh, although, if it's a person, then there is someone that I take with me all the time. My manager. （笑） Even when he says, "It's alright, I don't have to come along", I take him everywhere with me. （笑）

Q1 What is your personal sign of summer?
When the only things I can think of are things like fishing. That's not possible in a place like this [referring to Tokyo], and I probably don't have the time to spare. Although, I often think about going (elsewhere to fish) if I have the time.
Q2 Things that "firmly seized hold of your heart?"
There are a whole lot of them. If you're alive, there are a whole lot of them, right? Although, since my family is the most important to me after all, then it would be when we're having a meal together, for example, or the image of their backs as they walk away after we've parted with a "See you again". Just from seeing that, my heart is seized.

U~n. Nothing comes to mind. Besides, if I were to count them, there would be no end to it. Because I'm definitely moved more deeply than most people, and get lonelier than most people. I think that I may have mentioned this before, but on my birthday, I received such words: "I'm glad that you were born". Words like those which show appreciation for my life make me so much more happier than the words "I love you".
Q4 Instances that get you in a romantic mood?
No good. （笑） In my case, I think that I experience it more when I'm on my own rather than when I'm with the one that I love, for example. The sweet (kind of) romantic (mood) is easy to create. That aside, it's the times when I'm out walking on my own at night and look up at the starry sky as seen from the space between one building and another. I believe that to me, that is more romantic, more beautiful.
Q5 What do you consider 'an oasis'?
When I'm playing music or drawing pictures. When I'm doing those things, I can be myself. In short, those may be times when you assert yourself, but by doing so, the purpose for having been born also gets stronger. This is why I treasure (the time I spend doing those things).
Q6 If you were to become a traveler, where would you go?
In the first place, I don't think about wanting to travel very much. From time to time, I do think about what it would be like to try wandering around, but even then, I don't have a destination in mind. Although, I'm interested in World Heritage Sites, so I think that I'd like to go visit them. It doesn't matter if they're part of nature or historical man-made structures, as long as I'm able to feel something from looking at them.

That's probably my guitar. I can get by with just a guitar.
