I lifted this link from Jenna's/peloquyn's LJ. You need to see this. More importantly, you need to HEAR this. And if you're someone who's opposed to gay marriage (which, if you're on and if you're interested in staying on my friends list, you best not be) then you really need to THINK on this one. It's very well put. Keith Olbermann FTW:

The best part? He's so *logical*. Keith isn't that about everything, but about this, thank bob he's paying attention.

I know, I don't always like what he has to say but he nailed it with this one. Thanks for the linkage!

I think I saw him get choked up in this clip... he puts the issue so eloquently and simply for folks that its going to make people stand up and listen- FINALLY

I'm crossing my fingers to get some of those lousy laws voted upon on last Tuesday over turned or repealed. Prop 8 makes me angry, but the one in Arkansas is even worse - the denial of adoption or fostering to those couples who are not married -specifically to ban gay couples from this. THE SHAME OF DENYING KIDS A FAMILY!!!! Denying a child's happiness is horrible and to have subjected to this lame piece of legislation is a crime. I'm just saddened by the possible break up of families who have been fostering or working through the adoption process for the opportunity to raise a child and give them a stable home. That makes me so furious.

Man, I'm totally with you on that. It turns my stomach to think that now there are that many more babies/children out there who need a home and that many more potential parents out there who could provide a good stable home who are all being denied the chance to be a family. Funny, too, because nearly all the homosexuals I know grew up in homes with straight parents, yet they themselves did not "catch" heterosexuality - so do people REALLY think that children will "catch gay" from their adoptive parents?! It's so maddening. I can't imagine how on earth that makes sense to anyone. I mean, frankly I'm not surprised that that kind of thing came out of Arkansas of all places, but it's still disgusting.
