Mandy was in the library just like any other day working on her Ancient Runes homework.  It was a nice day out and she much rather be out walking around but there was some translations that were confusing the heck out of her and she needed to get them done before she could move to the next step. Daniel had a feeling Mandy would be in the library, she was a Ravenclaw after all. This time he wasn't meeting up with her for a study session. Harper held the fresh owl clenched to his hands tight as he darted down the corridor, past the statues, past the paintings and made a straight entrance into the library.

"Mandy" he chanted speaking a little too loud for the library. "I got a owl from my father today" he began before brushing his onyx hair back out of his eyes a tad.

"Read it" he held the parchment up for Mandy to see.

Mandy looked at Daniel confused as he started shouting at her and walking towards her. And why in the world would she care that Daniel got a letter from his father. Mandy didn't know much about his father and frankly didn't really five a damn no offense. So why was he telling her about this.

Mandy figured out that it was probably about that potions essay so she started to read the letter and stopped after the first sentence. She stood up and grabbed the letter out of his hands and glared at him, "This better be a fucking joke."

" I wish!" Harper said to his his Ravenclaw friend. "This isn't even my handwriting, you know that, if it was a job you could tell that" he went on. "But its good for your mum, yes?

Daniel thought once, then the thought twice. "Maybe I should of let you mum tell you?" Still pondering the situation Harper asked calmy "What's she like? your mom?"

"How is this good for my mum?! I don't know ANYTHING about your father and from the sounds of you talking about him, he's a hard-ass. And who says that my mum feels the same way. Why hasn't my mother told me anything." She pushed out her chair and started pacing back and forth, trying to make sense of any of this. This wasn't her mum, her mum told her everything. And her boss?! That didn't make any sense whatsoever.

When she heard Daniel ask about her mum she turned to him, "What? My mum? Here I will show you." She reached in a bag and grabbed the picture of her mum, dad and her when she was younger. Her mother had blonde hair like her but Mandy had her dad's eyes. She gave him the picture. "This picture is old, but it's one of my favorites."
