I really liked this. It was nearly canon. I could totally see the things going that way or them acting like this. It was great! ^^ Thanks for writting!

I wanted to keep this as close to the Kripke!verse as possible, because I was intending to write it as an AR rather than an AU, and I think AUs afford a bit more leeway in terms of Supernatural canon. I'm glad my attempt actually worked! Thanks for reading <3

Loved this - it has so many great things about it, but I think my absolute favourite bit was Sam being able to summon Gabriel's sword! *grins*

I think even before I began this piece I had the idea of the sword in my head. I'm certainly glad that translated so well in this piece. I was figuring an angel's sword is one of their most potent and private weapons in their whole angelic arsenal, and I wanted that sort of physical representation to be present between Sam and Gabriel, because the symbolism of the sword holds so much pain for Gabe. The fact that Sam was able to take up that sort of responsibility shows how well they complement each other.

Very entertaining fic. I totally agree with the others, you've kept Gabriel really well in character, and I enjoyed the way the relationship between Sam and Gabriel progressed.

I think one of my biggest pet peeves with any fandom is the lack of realistic relationship progressions. Too often you wind up trying to read a longish fic where there's no explanation for why the two characters got together in the end at all, it's just randomly there for no reason--or the spontaneous sex scene.

I think I could have done a little better with the progression in all honesty. This is the longest fic I've posted on LJ before, and this was written for the Gabriel Big Bang, so I was working on a schedule. I'll hopefully be trying my hand at writing a longer fic in which there is a clear indication of why the relationship is started. This one I realize is slightly ambiguous in that sense.
