Outside the Bar, in the mountains, there is a cave with a Δ by the side of it.  Other than that, it is non-descript.

Bonzo passes this entrance while poking around outside without much thought.  He's been out here many times before; what is he going to run into right now?  He's wearing sweats; the sweatshirt has on its back a rather familiar-looking ( Read more... )

Petra isn't near the boy. There is a tree between them.

"You know very well how good of a shot I am. There is /never/ a reason to engage the enemy hand-to-hand if there is a distance solution."

Petra spys the waterfall. "Lets get you over to the water." If he can move that is. If he cannot, she will just have to pick him up again.

"I know you're a good shot." Pause. "I also know that 'good shot' doesn't always cut it." Bonzo tries to get to his feet. It doesn't go great. "Give me a hand?" Embarassed look.

"Which is why they make guns with more then one shot now."

Petra hauls Bonzo to his feet, supporting his weight with her own. She walks them over to the waterfall, and sets him back down.

"Get yourself cleaned up and ready to get going. The quicker we get out of this hell-hole, the happier I will be."

She takes a few steps away, and turns her back on Bonzo. Her gaze drifts back to the lair they just left.

Bonzo drinks some water and splashes some more on his face. This really doesn't take too long; a few minutes later, although still sore, he's about as ready as he'll be.

"Let's go."

Petra does not offer to help Bonzo this time. Of course, neither does she offer his saber back to him.

He'll have to ask for it. She starts forward and onward.

Yeah, Bonzo notices that he's unarmed as they start off. He also notices said 'saber on Petra's belt. "Uh, Petra..." Pause. "Could I have my 'saber back?"

Or were you planning on keeping it?

"I do not trust you." Petra's reply is cliped and cold.

"If we run into something that needs stabbing, then we will go from there."

Bonzo glares back. "You know, I really don't like being unarmed." There's a look of growing irritation right about now: Bonzo's physically sore and, now, he's being given the middle finger.

Petra does not answer. She /might/ care less, but no. She's keeping her ears out for an attack from Bonzo, but naught else.

They reach the room with three choices. A strange phenomenon is occurring. Three different temperatures are flowing from the three entrances. One is hot, almost burning (Left most entrance). The one directly ahead, is simply warm, not too hot, not too cold. The last is bitter cold.

None of these are boding well... Petra chooses the middle however. Neither of them are dressed for freezing or burning temperatures.

Bonzo's inclination was towards the 'cold' one, and he nearly walks off that way. But...he follows Petra.

"Out of curiousity, how much ammo do you have?"

"Not nearly enough."

She does not seem to walk to talk very much. Perhaps the caves are getting to her? Or maybe it is just Bonzo's presence.

The room they enter is dark and it smells like wet fur. There is a rustling in a corner, but it is too dark to see the creature that makes the sound.

The mun guesses the latter. Bonzo guesses the former.

"So much for having multiple shots."

Bonzo hears the rustling in the dark.

"Petra, give me my 'saber. Now."

And no, Petra, this is not a request.

"Keep your feet on the ground and your distance if possible. And rather then attack it, lets try to slip around it."

The thing rustles in the corner, but does not come out yet. There is an exit to this room just beyond the creature. It is not in the direct path. It should be easy to skirt the wall and keep a goodly distance between themselves and... whatever it is.

Bonzo nods, and gestures for Petra to lead.

Which she takes, and would have taken anyway. Before they make more then two or three steps toward the door however, the THING jumps out of the darkness and into the light shining from the next room.

It has the face of a man, tail like a scorpion and the body of a great cat. And it does not look very happy.
