Outside the Bar, in the mountains, there is a cave with a Δ by the side of it.  Other than that, it is non-descript.

Bonzo passes this entrance while poking around outside without much thought.  He's been out here many times before; what is he going to run into right now?  He's wearing sweats; the sweatshirt has on its back a rather familiar-looking

Petra isn't near the boy. There is a tree between them.

The dragon doesn't care. It is being bothered by a being it cannot understand, which is making noise at it. The dragon lets out another growl, and looks over Petra and Bonzo.

"Petra, I don't think it wants to..." Another roar cuts him off. "I don't think it wants to talk."

[petraarkanian]

Petra says nothing, but her eyes narrow. She puts her hand with the gun in it behind her back. Out of sight, out of mind? Probably not, but worth a try.

"Lets find a way around him." She starts edging sideways, not giving up an inch of ground.

[mandercommander]

And now the dragon rears back, and a cone of flame erupts, headed towards Petra.

"Oh, ****!"

Not their day, is it?

Bonzo extends a hand, and then pulls back as hard as he can. Petra should feel a sharp tug trying to get her out of the way of the fire.

Petra's over stretched nerves are still as twitchy as ever, and between them and Bonzo's pulling, she gets out of the way, just barely. The heat still scorches her face, turning it bright red. The smell of burnt hair is in abundance.

"What the hell was that for?"

[mandercommander]

"Saving your ass!"

Bonzo's hand is already on his lightsaber, and he ignites it.

"Petra, run!"

And with that, Bonzo leaps into the air, and...literally flies up onto the back of the dragon.

Suffice it to say that the dragon is distracted by Bonzo as lands on said dragon's back. Petra is no longer the most annoying being in the room.

"What the .....?!"

Needless to say, no one told Pet about Bonzo's new abilities.

"Get the hell down from there!"

Petra cocks her gun, and gets out of range of the flame. She does not fire.

"I will in a moment." The dragon starts bucking, and Bonzo grabs onto one of the spines on the dragon's back. Then? He ignites the lightsaber and stabs the dragon in the back.

Needless to say, there is a very irate dragon trying to get someone off its back, blowing spurts of flame and roaring loudly as it can't figure out how to do so.

Bonzo should be able to HEAR Petra's teeth grinding in irritation. Calmly, she points and acquires a target on the eye of the dragon and follows its movements.

She does not fire right away, but waits till she know she'll hit to fire.

Which she now does. Right at the thing's eye.

Bonzo probably can. Note, however, the difference in their styles.

Bonzo keeps cutting, working at the dragon's neck and the area right behind it to try and at least paralyze the beast.

Petra's shot gets a massive howl of pain from the dragon, and sends it into violent enough convulsions that in spite of his grip on one of the spines, Bonzo is sent flying off the dragon and into a nearby cavern wall. Though he slows himself down before impact, he still hits pretty hard.

Petra darts out and goes for Bonzo, to see if she can get the boy. The dragon is lashing out, requiring her to leap over limbs, but it is evident that the monster is on his way out. Between her damage straight to the brain, and Bonzo's to the spine have pretty much killed it. The limbs just have to realize that now.

The lightsaber is still skidding across the ground and almost instinctively scoops it up, clipping it to her belt.

Bonzo lays near the trashing dragon. Petra skids to a stop and bends down. Adrenalin gives her strength that she normally doesn't have. She pulls the boy upright, most of his weight on her. Biting her tongue till it bleeds she drags the boy through the opening they'd been going for before.

Bonzo is basically unconscious. No, he's awake, but he's thoroughly out of it from the impact.

Petra pulls him through the opening, into a verdant, decently well-lit hallway. There are all sorts of plants in there, no animals in sight, a clear central hall, and...no light sources.

Mark one down for the labyrinth.

The hall splits about 300 feet down, breaking into three separate passageways (left, center, and right).

Petra lets the boy drop, not so hard that he is hurt any more, but perhaps enough to jar him? Probably not.

She looks around the room, and then down at her burn-darkened clothing and down at the unconscious Bonzo.

"Something is seriously screwed up." This she mutters under her breath.

She gets down on her knees and lays Bonzo out, and begins looking for injuries that need tending.

Bonzo starts coming out of the stupor. Although his clothes are torn and he's got a couple of scratches, there are no wounds needing clear attention. Nothing seems to be broken (though almost everything's bruised); he managed to slow down enough to avoid that.

"Wh...Pe...where...where are we, Petra?"

That comes out haltingly as Bonzo comes to; his mind still isn't working perfectly, so it's a bit slow...and then a splash of pain hits him.

"Feel like I've...been run over...or something."

[petraarkanian]

"Close. Damn fool thing to do jumping on that animal's back." Petra is not happy, no, no she is not. She snaps her words, showing no indication that she is happy the kid is alive.

"I am going to look around. You stay here." No nonsense tone of voice there. As she could probabably keep Bonzo down with pretty much... no effort at all she sees no problem with giving said order.

She stands and starts to search the area. If there are plants there should be water, neh?

[mandercommander]

"Yes, Commander Arkanian." Pause. "If you hadn't shot it...I'd have cut its spine and it wouldn't have been convulsing like that!" He's still coming out of the fog, but...rest assured he's coming out in good order.

There are several small waterfalls (and by small, we mean 'as much as comes from your kitchen faucet) scattered along the hall. Nothing major, but...it's water.
