Not much to report lately. Still flat out at work - I'm now working on three projects full-time and "on standby" to help out with another two. So glad one of my full-time jobs is wrapping up soon! I'm crossing my fingers that I will lose my trainee status within the next couple of months and that I will subsequently get a bit of a payrise. ( Read more... )

Sooooooo we now have 250 DAYS TO GO until we be leaving on a jetplane (don't know when we'll be back again)!!!!!! We also found out last night that our flight from Hong Kong to New York - and vice versa - will be going OVER THE NORTH POLE. Why is it that for the last two or three years, the Comedy Festival has coughed up fuck all by way of quality, yet the one year that I need to bust my ass saving for an overseas trip, it throws about 20 shows my way that I want to see?

I've had a pretty good couple of months since my last (proper) update. After about a month and a half of flitting back and forth between my old job and my new job, I finally said farewell to the 6th floor and started working full-time in my new role. Rory and I have now been in Ormond for over a year! It really doesn't seem like that long ago when we were sitting in a mostly bare lounge room on our first night there, eating pizza on the floor (no couch or chairs yet) and watching Australia's Funniest Home Videos on the TV, which was also on the floor (hadn't set up the entertainment unit yet).
