Not much to report lately. Still flat out at work - I'm now working on three projects full-time and "on standby" to help out with another two. So glad one of my full-time jobs is wrapping up soon! I'm crossing my fingers that I will lose my trainee status within the next couple of months and that I will subsequently get a bit of a payrise. Hopefully said payrise won't clash with the usual end-of-financial-year increase in pay... that would suck. It'd be like having your birthday the day before Christmas - you'd only get one lot of presents!
Rory and I FINALLY got around to cancelling our gym memberships. We hadn't been since the end of October when I fucked my knee (goddamn Wii...!), so we were wasting money on it. The dumb thing is, we both want to get fitter before we leave for our trip, yet we cancelled our memberships in order to have more money to put towards said trip!!! Speaking of the Wii though, it's been sitting there collecting dust for ages which is a pity. I think the novelty wore off quite quickly. There aren't enough decent games out there and even if there were, we can't afford to buy them anyway because of saving! I'm seriously contemplating selling the thing... could do with a few hundred bucks right now.
Ehhhhh all I seem to do anymore is talk about money and saving money, but I guess when you've got a big holiday planned (oh yeah, I talk about that a lot too), it's a pretty big factor. Also there is nothing that exciting happening in my life BECAUSE I am trying to save money, and thus I haven't been going out as much lately.
Oh yeah here's some good news - I got a call from our real estate agent a couple of days ago. Our landlord has changed his mind and he's NOT selling our apartment anymore!!!!! He's selling our neighbour's one instead, thank fuck. So for the time being we are safe where we are, but it doesn't mean he won't change his mind again later down the track. We're still thinking about moving, because at least if we do it that way, we'll be moving out on our own terms.
Please let this weekend be a good one!!!!!
