[Thor is on top of a sky scraper, the night sky visible behind him, covered in stars. He has a concerned, curious look to him, and he can't quite bring himself to believe what he's about to announce.]

For any who were curious about the lights in the sky that accompanied the crashing sounds, when The System fought the Serpent, I have information.

...They were roots?

[But they killed Teddy.]

Yes. I am not sure of what the commotion was, the banging and the sparks, but I do know that those are the roots of Yggdrasil. We see images of them when we use our Bifrost, the bridge we used to travel by.

I guess we're all in new territory here.

Most of you are, yes, but this is a valuable piece of knowledge. This means we know our place in the universe, and where we can aim to go from here.

Does Yggdrasil work like a normal tree?

[If the roots were disturbed, the rest of the tree suffers?]

Perhaps so. Yggdrasil is more a concept than an actual tree. All the realms are connected through branches of passageways, most of which are known to my people. If you tear anything up at it's base, it will wither and die. If a single realm dies, then it dies, like cutting off the head of a dying flower. Others will grow without that one. If you tear up the roots, nothing survives.

[They have to, don't they?]

Yes, we will.

[Or die trying.]

And it seems now we'll have a break before the next event.

[That seems to be the pattern.]

It does seem so, and perhaps this will mean we will have a chance to plan for whatever is next.

Yes.

[...And that's all that, right?]

...How are you?

[He pauses briefly. He knows his brother has gone home, he just hasn't made an announcement. He will leave that to whoever so chooses. He doesn't want their false pity and sympathy.]

I am well. And yourself, Pepper?

I'd be better at home. We all would.

Indeed we would.
