[ And so, we've reached the evening of September 9th. After the chaos and destruction of the past week, the weekend has presented a contrasting lull in activity following the scheduled execution of Cipher Nine. Where others seem to be preparing for a final no holds barred push, the militia in Old Town seems to be doing little more than standing

OLD TOWN LIBRARY: WEISS VS KERRIGAN

[ Though Weiss hasn't been shy about making his presence known before this point, he is conspicuously absent from the public eye. While night falls over the city, he is to be found in the Old Town Library, in his favorite haunt by one of the large windows in one of the Library's rooms. Here, he stands in plain view of it, looking out, alternating his gaze from the sky to the city below, or what's left of it.

He seems to be waiting for something, but as for what that might be, who knows? ]

[ It's taken Kerrigan some work to find Weiss. She's tired of this. She's a Ghost. She can go in for the kill and be out before anyone would notice. She's tired of waiting for groups of people to solve issues. Rebel yells didn't do a damn bit of good, as much as she wants to help Shepard and his group. No, it's been long past time for her to actually be what she is: a Ghost. An assassin.

Kerrigan slips into the building that Weiss has been reportedly in. Time to listen in for her target and end this now. ]

[ Like Kerrigan, Weiss is also admittedly tired, his exhaustion stemming back much further than Mandalus. As it stands, he's already more or less come to his decision. And so, he sets himself to waiting, listening, watching.

Once inside, as long as she doesn't encounter the troops that are lingering in the Library proper, the way to Weiss will be easy. Perhaps it's overconfidence, or maybe just apathy, but the room itself is unguarded, the door slightly ajar. ]

[ Whatever the reason is, she isn't interested in it. She quietly kneels down, hiking her rifle up and peering into the scope. She aims and stills her breathing. The thoughts of those around her rang in her mind and she waited to take the shot. Once she was damn sure he wasn't moving, she pulled the trigger. ]

OLD TOWN GENERAL

[ As described in the main post, there is a quiet tension pervading Old Town. The sector has taken heavy damage, supplies are low, some of you might be injured. How are you holding out, and what do you think will happen next? The Serpent is still present, looming around each corner, but unless engaged they don't seem particularly hostile. Perhaps it'd be safe to poke your head out, or maybe you're more interested in trying to get the jump on them. ]
