At first, his tone is a mixture of amused and thoughtful, and he starts off musing aloud. ]Interesting how fate has a way of following us. [ That's something he's actually well aware of, and is kind of the reason he's not actually interested in power for powers sake. STILL, he has a job to do here, so will shoulder it for the time being. Naturally, he won't be voicing these thoughts aloud, so he opts for being contrary: ]

I suppose that remains to be seen, doesn't it? [ A short amused, sound, followed by a thoughtful pause. ] Ah, unless you have suggestions?

[ Ope I bet you didn't think he heard that. Suddenly there's a chuckle in response. ]

[ JEEZ RUDE. But he sounds more amused than offended. ]

Oh good, someone else who almost sounds as ridiculous as Praenuntius. You need to be a bit more dramatic, you're missing some of his obnoxious old-timey flair.

Why don't you put those actions to good use then and use this as an opportunity to hunt down our oh so gracious hosts so we can go home.

They seem adamant that unless this war is won, there will be no homes to return to. I trust you heeded their warnings and prepared accordingly?

[ There's a hint of amusement there that implies that you probably didn't prepare accordingly. Tsk. ]

[Shepard looks mildly irritated and more disinterested about the whole thing. He's had enough of wars, people scrambling for power, screwing with the populace for their own gain, and he's tired of people who should be helping out instead going against the cause.]

You realise that once this battle is over, everyone will be gunning for you, and all the other idiots who decided to play maniacal tyrant, don't you?

I would be sorely disappointed if they didn't.
