as I survey the wondrous cross

Today I really got hit by the power of the Cross. A few weeks ago I got attacked and although I wasn't really hurt, it shook me. Because of all my mum and dad did to me, I started worrying that somehow it was my fault I got attacked. Today I heard a sermon by the new youth worker, who hasn't preached before. We were looking at 1 Corinthians 15:12-

I love it when stuff like that jumps out at me :) It is ironic because our pastor used the cross as the focus of his message on Easter Sunday. I'm always careful when I wear a cross because I don't want it to lose any of its sacredness.

It's NEVER the victim's fault for being attacked. The decision to do violence to another rests in the perpetrator's mind alone. But I'm glad you did have that sermon and I'll have to go read that part myself now. :D
