as I survey the wondrous cross
Today I really got hit by the power of the Cross. A few weeks ago I got attacked and although I wasn't really hurt, it shook me. Because of all my mum and dad did to me, I started worrying that somehow it was my fault I got attacked. Today I heard a sermon by the new youth worker, who hasn't preached before. We were looking at 1 Corinthians 15:12-34, and the sufficiency of the Cross and Christ's resurrection really struck me. 1 Corinthians is one of my favourite books of the New Testament anyway but it hit me a lot more today. The youth worker talked about hard stuff that she went through, and I realised that if that stuff wasn't her fault then me being attacked isn't my fault, and all that worry just melted away. It's been a good day :D
