I take it this Gilbert doesn't know the first thing about finances...if he's self-employed he really should look into learning at the basics unless he wants his business to struggle because of his own mismanagement. It's unfair for him to put all of this pressure on you.

It's more that he just doesn't care to learn it. I don't usually mind the work load but you could say sometimes it would be nice to have someone else with a decent sense of logic to work with.
