Fantastic chapter! The confrontation between Sherlock and Sǐwáng was so exciting - for a minute I thought Sherlock had triumphed. Once again, over-confidence was his downfall. Nice echo from canon that the only thing that saved him was the fact that the assassin wasn't supposed to kill him.

And oh, Soo Lin's story was even more heartbreaking here, and poor John, to find the limits of his power. Interesting to watch Sherlock struggle to understand. At least he's trying, for John's sake.

Very much looking forward to the next chapter!

Thank you! And excellent! I really wanted both Sherlock and the reader to think that he had gotten the upper hand there and then... NOT! ;) Sherlock really does need to work on his overconfidence.

I'm also glad (?) that Soo Lin's death was suitably tragic. Um, yay? ;)

This entire series is absolutely brilliant. I've just got caught up, and I can't wait for the rest! I'm especially loving the subtly increasing intimacy to John and Sherlock's relationship, like Sherlock being confused about wanting someone around for the first time.

Just finished reading this and Fallen. Love it. I really like the world the story is set in, how everything works with the Angels and all. I would really like to see more about how John reacts to the angels, and if the angels ever catch John seeing them, but I get that things like that don't always fir in the story.
Oh, I also really, really love the brownies :).
Hm, hope the Sherlock/John actually becomes more than one sided eventually, though I have to say I love the story so much that atm it doesn't really bother me :).
So yeah.. love your writing, looking forward to more ^_^.
